  1. Arden Waltz

From the recording Sempre Sisters

Arden Waltz - We wrote this tune in the summer of 2014 and dedicated it to Irv Eisenberg, who we played it for shortly before he passed away at age of 95. Irv was the 2nd violinist of the Philadelphia Quartet for many years and was also our first chamber music coach. He would always entertain us with stories of playing under Eugene Ormandy and meeting Shostakovich. We can’t listen to late Beethoven quartets without thinking of him. We named the tune Arden Waltz after the Forest of Arden in Shakespeare’s play As You Like It.
